I'm also officially done with all of my shots, except for my hcg trigger shot tonight, which is wonderful because my tummy is quite sore and bruised. Paul is an excellent poker, but after 32 needle sticks to the abdomen, there is bound to be some battle scars. Again, it's all totally worth it :)
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart from what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I go from nothing to
Saturday is not only egg retrieval, but also the day that my eggs will hopefully be fertilized with Paul's sperm and we become parents to embryos! We won't be given our fertilization report until Sunday morning, though. From then on, we will be given daily updates as to how our embryos are doing. We try and stay busy, but it's difficult not to live phone call to phone call, while praying and hoping for healthy embryos.
Next appt:
Saturday, October 10th, 7:30 a.m.~EGG RETRIEVAL!
Prayer Requests:
*For my eggs to continue maturing up until retrieval and that they would not release early! It is not likely, but we would still love prayer that it doesn't happen :)
*That egg retrieval would be as painless as possible
*For healthy and mature eggs
*That the Lord would guide the perfect sperm to fertilize the perfect eggs to be our child(ren)
*that God would grant Dr. Stoelk, and our embryologist, Lisa, wisdom and skillful hands
Thanks for being apart of our journey and taking the time to pray and encourage us along the way. Each one of you is important to us and we could not do this alone. We ask the Lord to bless you. Our prayer is that if you are reading this, that you would know how extravagant God's love is for you. Because really, what kind of love propels someone to send their one and only beloved son to die for the sins of the entire world? Perfect love.
As I was washing dishes last night, I had tears welled up in my eyes, as I sang the words to a song called, Hosanna;
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseenShow me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart from what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I go from nothing to
Eternity...

I love hosanna...I listened to it on repeat during our flight ;). I'm praying for Saturday. Looking forward to hanging out sometime soon.
ReplyDeleteWOW! I had no idea how many shots were involved in the process of getting your body ready. Your journey to become parents is really inspiring. I hope and pray tomorrow goes perfectly!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Hosanna is my favorite worship song :)
