11 weeks today

Every Sunday, we reach a much celebrated milestone in our journey to become parents. Today, Sunday, July 18th, marks 11 weeks of pregnancy. Just 2 more weeks and we will officially graduate into the 2nd trimester! Along with the hopes of decreased nausea, more energy, and feeling our baby's first movements, the 2nd trimester also means our risk of miscarriage will have decreased significantly. Praise God! With all of the complications we have had and continue to have we can hardly wait to reach a much safer zone in this pregnancy.

We could still use continued prayer for minimal to no spotting and for Baby B to continue thriving. I was just telling Paul today how I have had 4 days in a row of no spotting (amazing!), only to come home to a plethora all at once. The amount and color were scary enough for me to suggest we repeat last Sunday and go in for another ultrasound. We are so blessed to have access to ultrasound, instead of having to wait it out or go into the E.R. Thank you, Lord :)

What we saw on the screen was our precious little B, movin' and groovin', seeming completely unaffected by what my body is doing. Our baby looked perfect in every way and it gave both of us a lot of reassurance, even as I continue to spot. Baby A looked much smaller and we are thinking that it's possible that the fluid I'm passing has something to do with that. The good news is, I'm not cramping and Baby B has a strong heartbeat (171 bpm) and continues to grow! We are so in love with this little gem already!

Hey, look at me! I'm waving :)

Looking at Baby B straight on! Look at my frog legs!

  2. We will continue to pray for continued growth for Baby B and mourn with you at the loss of Baby A. What a blessing to have access to ultrasound to help give you assurance of Baby B's continued growth. Praise the Lord for your gift of life.
