My doctor has also suggested that I be tested for insulin resistance, even though it is unlikely that I have it. I don't meet many of the markers for this, but occasionally women have this even when they aren't typical candidates. Hey, I'm up for finding answers, so I will have my blood drawn and drink the nasty sugary drink to get those! Paul and I have even questioned whether or not I had this, so I'm glad we are doing this test just to be sure. Insulin resistance can effect the implantation of embryos because it causes crazy hormone imbalances and hormones play a very significant role in implantation.
There are some other test options that my doctor is going to go over with me tomorrow at my pre-op/insulin test visit tomorrow.
Hopefully we will have more answers on Friday. If everything looks healthy, we could potentially transfer a few more embryos early December. We will keep you posted.
Upcoming Appts.
*insulin resistance test tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov. 3) results won't be in for several days
*Hysteroscopy & Laparoscopy on Friday, Nov. 6 (arrive at hospital @ 8:30, surgery @ 10:30)
Prayer Requests
*That these appts. go well and we are able to find some answers
*That Dr. Stoelk would perform these surgeries without any problems
*Fast recovery...we have a concert on Friday night that we are hoping we can still attend
Thanks for taking time to pray for us.
